Unit 2 - Identity vs. Role Confusion

Theorized by Erik Erikson, said man found that adolescence try to comform to things they find to be believable or better, rather than stick to what is in their comfort and understanding zone. This is primarily with groups and cliques during school or work. People would find usually an upper-ranked clique/group and want to be with them, so they change almost everything about them to belong. Instead, they should automatically find their 'role' in society (/work/school) and be able to feel secure where they are. I, myself, always try to find a good group that shares similar interests to me, or, at least, a group that needs help and comfort if they feel bad. I tend to not have a problem with people who are 'better' than me. Identity vs. Role Confusion is very natural and regular in society, no matter what time period, people always conformed to something. This is why I chose it; because everyone can relate to this in some way, and you can always find something new!

Mean Girls

(In 'Mean Girls', new girl Cady believes she's doing good by hanging out with the Plastics as one of 'them', but soon she subconsciously conforms to their ways and becomes a Plastic herself.)
